MiStevious has evolved and developed
over a period of time to become the character that she is today.
For a rare glimpse into her childhood, venture into her Gallery to
see the blossoming young star at the tender age of seven! A star
is born!
The delightful MiStevious was born with a talent to entertain, which
she displayed with enthusiastic flamboyance before her school friends
and at various charity shows. With her indisputable talent in hand,
she attended a three-year course at a reputable stage school, which
led to her membership of British Equity while still in her teens,
and with the entertainment industry firmly entrenched in her life
at that early age, she has never looked back since!
MiStevious played the role of Chantel in a UK production of the
Broadway musical, La Cage Aux Folles. In London, MiStevious
has performed at Madam Jo Jo’s, the famous drag cabaret club,
and also in a delightful double act known as "Sheer Camp" with
the popular drag queen, Lola Lasagne, at venues such as The Royal
Vauxhall Tavern and The Black Cap. For a glimpse of the duo, check
out the Gallery for the unusual sight
of the two of them together, both with and without wigs!
In a previous life, MiStevious has recollections of being a dancer,
performing with celebrities such as Jane Russell, Danny La Rue, The
Pet Shop Boys, to name but a few. She performed in West End musicals
such as Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Brigadoon,
Call Me Madam and Starlight Express. She had also performed in television, films,
pantomimes and repertory theatre productions both in the UK and on
tours in Canada, France and Italy.
However, her dream was to travel to the Far East to experience Oriental
cultures and she landed in Singapore, the cleanest and most modern
city in Southeast Asia. The 'Uniquely Singapore' audience
has taken most appreciatively to her unique style of entertainment,
which combines her friendly banter and chit-chat with cheeky innuendoes
and amusing personal commentary on life.
MiStevious has performed at a wide range of events and venues in
Singapore, such as garden parties at "Black & White" colonial
residences and corporate functions including places such as the Marina
Mandarin.
The versatility of this rising star is unsurpassed. |
